To  view the Chime version of this site fully requires the free CHIME plug-in.  This version was designed using IE6 and Chime version 2.6 SP4 other browsers or versions of Chime may give problems.

The Jmol version depends entirely upon the Jmol java applet to render its molecular views. In order for Jmol to work properly, it requires a support program called a java virtual machine. Computer operating systems (such as Windows, Mac OSX, and linux) generally come with java included, but it may be an out of date version. It is generally advisable to keep your java up to date, which can be done by visiting java.com. Some Windows computers have no java at all, until you visit java.com.

Whether your browser has java, and if so, what version, is reported by visiting
javatester.org.
